Tell us what happened. “It exploded” is useful emotionally, but screenshots and details help too. The things that actually speed this up:
New accounts need a display name, a username, an email address and a password. Usernames use letters, numbers, periods, underscores and hyphens, and are 3 to 30 characters. You must be at least 13 years old. Sign-ups are sometimes closed while the site is being worked on; if you are told registration is closed, that is deliberate and temporary.
Repeated wrong passwords will temporarily slow down sign-in attempts. That is the site protecting your account, not a fault. Wait a few minutes and try again.
Change your password in Settings, using your current one. Changing it signs out every other device still signed in to your account. There is no password reset by email yet, so do not lose it.
Add or change your email in Settings. Addresses show as Not verified because there is no mail system yet to verify them with. Your email is never shown publicly. Older accounts created before email was required will see a reminder until they add one; it does not block anything.
You can hide your profile view count from other members in Settings. What else is visible, and to whom, is described in Privacy & Data.
Blocking is mutual and quiet: the other person is not told, and you disappear from each other's messages, comments, friend lists and Discovery. Unblocking does not restore a friendship, a Top Friends spot, or a cancelled request — you would add each other again.
There is no delete-my-account button yet. Ask through this page and it will be done by hand.
Your profile holds your picture, bio, interests, status and mood. Customization goes from picking a theme to writing your own CSS. Your CSS applies to your own profile and nowhere else on the site — decorate your room, not the building.
Posts appear on your profile and in your friends' feeds. Comments are left on profiles, not on individual posts. You can delete anything you wrote, and deleting a post takes its reactions with it.
Friendship is mutual and starts with a request. Top Friends is the small arrangement on your profile, and you choose who goes in it.
Orbits are group spaces with their own posts and members. Some are open, some need a request to join.
Your profile can carry a playlist of up to ten songs by YouTube link, in the order you set. Playing them loads YouTube's player in your browser.
Constellation draws the friendship map around you in rings, by how many steps away each person is. It only draws connections you are already allowed to see.
Every profile, post, comment and message has a report option. Pick a reason, add detail if it helps, and it goes to the moderators with a copy of what you reported. The person is not told who reported them.
